It seems that there is a shop that sells pizza 'by the inch' on every block in Rome. And over the last three years my frequent stays I have sampled many and almost all of them in the district between the Villa Borghese and the Villa Ada. Withouit question, Delizie di Pizza has become my favorite. While his toppings are wonderful, what I am most impressed with are the crusts. They are reliably both crisp and chewy. I like many of the varieties offered, but my favorite is the basil mozzarella. The quality of their pizzas is apparently not just my opinion. On the side wall of the cozy shop are certificates recognizing their pizzas from some apparent competition. Adding to all this is Luciano, the cheerfull and friendly proprietor who is always there serving you with a smille.
